Year 6 completed their information texts about a world river they researched- some wonderful writing and fantastic presentation- well done!
Year 6 have been developing their understanding of six-figure grid references in Geography today mapping UK rivers using OS Maps.
Year 5 have been developing their understanding of geographical similarities and differences of human and physical features of Brazil.
As part of their settlements topic, Year 3 completed a field study identifying facilities in the local area.
Year 6 have been building on their knowledge of the journey of a river, identifying how rivers shape the land through erosion and deposition. We then looked at aerial images of our River Mersey and were able to identify examples of these.
Year 6 have been applying their knowledge and understanding of a river’s journey and contour lines to identify which part of a river was shown in each OS map. They also have been working hard to locate and describe the UK’s physical features including rivers and mountain ranges.
