Year 6 enjoyed some drama today during their English lesson. They explored the memories of characters through freeze frames to begin to introduce flashbacks into their narrative.

Year 6 used the role on the wall activity to explore the feelings and thoughts of Rose Blanche and the soldier in the image on the front cover
They worked collaboratively to develop words and phrases they could use to create a contrast poem during our first incidental write.
Scholastic Book Fair 2022
What a brilliant job Year 6 did organising the book fair 2022! Thank you to everyone who came along and anyone who ordered books. We cannot wait to share with you the amount we raised for our school to stock up our new library. So much work and preparation went into the Book Fair including job applications, logo and uniform design, organising whole school competitions and much more – we are so proud of you Year 6! Well done!

Year 6 started the new year making predictions about our new vehicle texts last week, after lots of discussion and asking questions to improve our understanding – a special well done to Kitty for spotting the connection with the objects to Charles Darwin. We have since been working on writing an effective setting description – here are some examples of our work so far.
