Welcome to the PSHE and RHSE Curriculum Page.
Intent
On this page you will find information relating to PHSE and RHSE at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Primary School.
Our mission is “to inspire children to achieve their full potential in the living love of Christ.”
We aim to support pupils through their spiritual, moral, social emotional and physical development and to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of growing up in today’s world.
Please find below relevant information and documents relating to the PSHE/RSHE curriculum we follow at St Anthony of Padua school.
Please see RSHE and PSHE policies on policies page.
PSHE
Our PSHE curriculum:
- Promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society, and
- Prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
The DfE guidance on Relationships, Health and Sex Education for governing bodies can be seen by clicking the button below.
Here at St Anthony of Padua Primary School, we have been following the Jigsaw Scheme for PSHE work. Jigsaw brings together Personal, Social, Health and Economic education, emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development in a weekly programme. We are confident that the Jigsaw Programme covers all aspects of Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) within the context of a full PSHE programme in an age-appropriate way. Should changes to these curriculum areas occur in the future, Jigsaw will provide its schools with materials to ensure all statutory duties are fulfilled.
